Kitchener funds 50% of eligible project costs on designated heritage properties, with a minimum project size of $500 and two tiers of maximum: $5,000 for general projects, and $15,000 for special projects.

The difference between the two tiers is worth three times the money, so it is worth asking Heritage Planning which category your project falls into before you apply.

Note on outdated figures: the National Trust's municipal grants list still shows Kitchener at $3,000 per year. That figure is long superseded.
