Oakville offers matching funding up to $15,000 for properties designated under Part IV or Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act, or protected by a heritage conservation easement agreement.
The easement route is unusual. Most municipal programs cover designated properties only, so if your property is under easement rather than designation, Oakville is one of the few places you still qualify.
How competitive is it? The 2026 program distributed $190,175 across 28 properties — an average of about $6,800 per grant. That tells you two useful things: most awards land well below the $15,000 ceiling, and roughly 28 projects get funded in a typical year.
